International pax to/from Australia up 7% to 2.4m in May-2014, capacity (seats) also up 7%
Australia's Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) reports (30-Jul-2014) the following international traffic highlights to/from Australia in May-2014:

- Air New Zealand: 6.8%, -0.3 ppt;
- Cathay Pacific: 5.2%, +0.7 ppt;

BITRE also reported LCCs AirAsia X, Indonesia AirAsia, Jetstar, Jetstar Asia, Tigerair and Scoot accounted for 16% of total international passenger traffic to/from Australia in May-2014. The LCC share in May-2013 was 13.9%.
