Australia's Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE) reports (16-Dec-2013) the following international traffic highlights to/from Australia for the 12 months ended Jun-2013:

• Passenger numbers: 30.3 million, +4.9% year-on-year;
• Available seats: 40.4 million, +4.8%;
• Flights: 161,019, +3.2%;
• Freight: 883,101 tonnes, +3.1%;
• Mail: 42,064 tonnes, -3.7%;
• Aircraft movements: 169,876, +3.3%;
• Share of operated seats by region:
• • Southeast Asia: 39.4%;
  • New Zealand: 20.3%;
  • Northeast Asia: 16.7%;
  • North America: 8.5%;
  • Middle East: 7.7%;
  • Oceania: 5.7%;
  • Africa: 1.3%;
  • South America: 0.5%;
• Top 10 countries by passenger movements:
