Nepal Government temporarily prohibits international arrivals from Europe, Middle East and more

Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN), via its official Twitter account, stated (19-Mar-2020) the "Government of Nepal has prohibited entry of passengers (including transit) from Europe, West-Asia and Gulf countries, Iran, Turkey, Malaysia, South Korea and Japan", effective from midnight on 20-Mar-2020 to 12-Apr-2020 (Aviation Nepal/The Kathmandu Post, 19-Mar-2020). CAAN DG Rajan Pokhrel reported the prohibition also applies to Nepali nationals, stating: "The decision means that all Nepalis who are currently outside the country have to enter Nepal by Friday midnight".
