Melbourne traffic passes 2.5 million for the first time

Australia’s Melbourne Airport announced it handled more than 2.5 million passengers in Oct-2010, the first time monthly traffic has exceed 2.5 million. The airport added that annual traffic has exceeded 27 million passengers for the first time. International passenger traffic increased 14.3% year-on-year to 532,046 passengers. Growth at Melbourne, once again, was driven by traffic to and from Asia. The airport outlined the following growth in Asian traffic:
