Etihad Aviation Group announces new management structure

Etihad Aviation Group announced (08-May-2016) a new management structure, including the following appointments:

  • Etihad Aviation Group president and CEO: James Hogan
  • Group CFO: James Rigney;
  • Group chief strategy and planning officer: Kevin Knight;
  • Group chief people and performance officer: Ray Gammell;
  • Group chief information and technology officer: Robert Webb;
  • Etihad Airways CEO: Peter Baumgartner;
  • Airline Equity Partners CEO: Bruno Matheu;
  • Etihad Airways Engineering CEO: Jeff Wilkinson;
  • Hala Group CEO: Recruitment ongoing.

Etihad Aviation Group chairman Mohamed Mubarak Al Mazrouei said the changes were driven by the formation of new companies, including Etihad Airways Engineering, Etihad Global Cargo Management Company, the Global Loyalty Company, Hala Abu Dhabi, and Etihad Airport Services, and the acquisition of minority equity stakes in Air Serbia, Air Seychelles, airberlin, Alitalia, Etihad Regional, Jet Airways and Virgin Australia, requiring a dedicated team to manage the company's shareholding and the delivery of mutually beneficial synergies. Mr Hogan said: "Etihad Airways is no longer a stand-alone business...these structural changes and appointments will ensure that we have a unified approach that links all parts of the group and provides wider strategic direction to deliver success."
