Etihad Regional (operated by Darwin Airline) was a Swiss regional carrier that serves destinations in Spain, France, Italy and Greece from its bases at Geneva and Lugano. In Nov-2013, Etihad Airways purchased 33.3% of Darwin Airline resulting in the re-branding of the carrier as Etihad Regional.

On 20-Jul-2017, Etihad sold its Darwin Airline shares to a Swiss subsidiary of Adria Airways, which has increased its stake in Darwin to 99.1%. Adria purchased the remaining share in Darwin Airline to wholly own the carrier, and rebranded it as Adria Airways Switzerland. The airline has filed for insolvency and declared bankrupt in Nov-2017.
