Air Berlin announces details of Summer 2010 schedule

Air Berlin announced plans for continuing growth in its "strategically important" markets in 2010. The carrier plans to strengthen its Berlin hub. Air Berlin's takeover of TUIfly's city routes had already added a large number of new destinations, direct flights and connecting flights. New routes for the Summer 2010 schedule (commencing 01-May-2010, except Florence) include:

• Italy:
  • Stuttgart-Florence (commencing 28-March-2010);
  • Nuremberg-Venice Marco Polo and Cologne/Bonn-Pisa.
• Spain:
  • Cologne/Bonn and Stuttgart to Valencia;
  • Frankfurt, Munich and Stuttgart to Malaga;
  • Düsseldorf-Bilbao;
  • Vienna to Barcelona and Jerez de la Frontera, operated by NIKI.
• Eastern Europe
  • New direct services to Burgas, Dubrovnik, Pristina, Sofia, Split, Varna and Krakow.
• Other markets:
  • Berlin to Algiers, Brindisi, Rimini and Tel Aviv
