Algiers Houari Boumediene Airport
Houari Boumediene Airport serves the Algerian capital of Algiers. The airport is the busiest in the country, handling over seven million passengers p/a and serving airlines from across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East. The airport is a hub for Air Algerie and Tassili Airlines. In May-2014, the Algerian Ministry of Transport announced that construction for a new international terminal, costing EUR330 million, would commence in 2014 and be completed by 2018. The terminal is predicted to have capacity to handle 10 million passengers p/a, increasing the airport's total capacity to 16 million passengers p/a.
