Cologne/Bonn Airport is an airport serving the metropolitan region of North Rhine-Westphalia in western Germany. Located between the cities of Cologne and Bonn, the airport is the sixth largest in Germany, handling over 10 million passengers per year. The airport is also a major German cargo facility, second only in size to Frankfurt. Cologne/Bonn has seen strong growth over the past decade, with LCCs Germanwings, TUIfly and Air Berlin locating hubs at the airport.
