Countdown to Seoul – CAPA LCCs and New Age Airlines in North Asia summit

Press Release

Following successful aviation Summits in Singapore, Dublin and Sydney this year, CAPA's next high level industry event, LCCs and New Age Airlines in North Asia, will be held at the Conrad Seoul, on 4/5 September 2013.

Some exciting developments for North Asian aviation will emerge at the Summit, which will be attended by senior executives representatives from Air Busan, Air Do, Air Link Co Ltd, Air New Zealand, AirAsia, AirAsia X, Asiana Airlines, China Airlines, Eastarjet, Hong Kong Express, IATA, Ibaraki Airport, Incheon Airport, Japan Airlines, Jeju Air, Jetstar Japan, Jin Air, Juneyao Airlines, Korean Air, MEGA Maldives Airlines, Nok Air, Peach, Scoot, Spring Airlines, TransAsia Airways, t'way, Vanilla Air, Vietjet, West Air, and many more.

The Summit will also feature government regulators and leading travel and tourism authorities and organisations. Hosted by Incheon Airport and supported by Travelport, SITA, Sabre, Bombardier and ebay enterprise, it comes at a pivotal time for the aviation industry in North Asia. A confluence of more liberal aviation policies, new airline business models and rising incomes across Asia is spurring a new wave of aviation activity and travel is burgeoning. But it is not without challenges.

Several North Asia-based airlines have established budget airline subsidiaries to defend and grow core markets. Meanwhile, cross-border joint ventures are establishing, albeit with some difficulties.

The Summit will feature CEO panels on the key markets of Korea, Greater China, Japan and Hong Kong/Macau, as well as industry panels on the unique features in North Asia of travel distribution, the regulatory environment and the fleet and financing sector.

CAPA will welcome some 200 delegates to attend this unique LCCs and New Age Airlines forum. The Summit will feature unique networking events, including a Gala Dinner and golf/city tours. Early bird discounts expire on Wednesday 21 August.
