Virgin Atlantic Airways and WestJet announce expanded codeshare agreement

Virgin Atlantic Airways and WestJet announced (17-Feb-2025) an expanded codeshare agreement to strengthen connections between Canada and the UK, as well as key connecting regions including India. The codeshare will commence on 30-Mar-2025 in line with Virgin Atlantic's route launch between London Heathrow Airport and Toronto Pearson International Airport. It will provide connections from the UK via Toronto to 13 gateways across Canada including Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Ottawa and Winnipeg. It will also provide onward connectivity for Canadians travelling to Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru, as well as Dubai, the Maldives, Cape Town and Johannesburg via London Heathrow. The two carriers will co-locate in Terminal 3 at Toronto Pearson. Loyalty partnership programme benefits across both Virgin Atlantic Flying Club and WestJet Rewards are expected to roll out later in 2025. [more - original PR]
