Thai Airways' first 787 departs Seattle on delivery flight

Thai Airways announced (18-Jul-2014) its first Boeing 787-8 departed Seattle on its delivery flight to Bangkok on 18-Jul-2014. The aircraft is the first of eight 787s leased by the airline from AerCap. Six 787-8s are scheduled for delivery in 2014 and 2015 and two 787-9s will be delivered in 2017. The airline's 787-8s are powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 1000-AE engines and are configured with 264 seats in two classes. [more - original PR]
