Founded in 1995, AerCap is one of the world's leading aircraft lessors and asset management providers. AerCap is a New York Stock Exchange-listed company (AER) with offices in Europe, the United States, Asia and the United Arab Emirates. On 14-May-2014, AerCap completed its acquisition of International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC) from American International Group (AIG). As a result of the acquisition, ILFC becomes a subsidiary company of AerCap Group. AerCap acquired GE Capital Aviation Services (GECAS) in Nov-2021.
