Russia’s Transportation Clearing House lists largest Russian passenger airlines in 1H2009

Russia’s Transportation Clearing House stated Aeroflot was the largest Russian airline, by total system (domestic and international) traffic for the six months ended 30-Jun-2009. The top ten airlines are as follows:

  • Aeroflot: 3.9 million, n/a year-on-year;
  • Transaero: 2.0 million;
  • S7: 1.9 million;
  • UTair: 1.4 million;
  • Russia State Transport Company: 1.2 million;
  • Orenburg Airlines: 630,135;
  • Ural Airlines: 560,200;
  • VIM Airlines: 513,467;
  • Aeroflot-Don: 472,259;
  • Vladivostok Air: 461,242.
