VIM Airlines
About
Vim Airlines was an airline based at Moscow Domodedovo Airport, Russia. Vim operated international scheduled and charter services to destinations across Europe and Central Asia. The carrier also offered its fleet for wet lease.
On 25-Sep-2017, Magadan Oblast Governor Vladimir Pecheniy announced a preliminary decision was made on the continuation of VIM Airlines Far East services until the end of Sep-2017 or the beginning of Oct-2017 at a meeting with Federal Air Transport Agency representatives. The airline stated it is in a difficult economic situation and is facing problems with working capital, financing and the provision of services at airports. VIM Airlines continues negotiations with financial institutions about supporting the carrier. As the airline cannot operate services without additional funding, it plans to introduce external crisis management measures. Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) confirmed VIM Airlines does not have the resources to continue operations and as a result, the supply of fuel and provision of aircraft services to the carrier was suspended. Russia's Ministry of Transport announced scheduled VIM Airlines services would operate until 15-Oct-2017. Transport Minister Maksim Sokolov confirmed the airline's AOC (TASS) has been suspended.
