Norwegian establishes new base at Tenerife-Sur and expands Spanish network
Norwegian announced (28-Oct-2013) the establishment of a base of operations at Tenerife-Sur Airport, its fourth in Spain in addition to Alicante, Gran Canaria and Malaga. In addition to its new crew base, the carrier will also expand its Spanish route network as follows - see Route Changes Table for more information:
- Gran Canaria-Berlin Schoenefeld: Twice weekly service to launch on 02-Feb-2014;
- Malaga-Cologne: Frequency to increase from three to four times weekly from 18-Feb-2014;
- Malaga-Hamburg: Frequency to increase from three to four times weekly from 16-Feb-2014;
- Malaga-London Gatwick: Frequency to increase from three times weekly to daily between 01-Mar-2014 and 29-Mar-2014;
- Malaga-Munich: Frequency to increase from twice to three times weekly on 15-Feb-2014;
- Malaga-Oslo: Frequency to increase from five to six times weekly between 14-Feb-2014 and 05-Mar-2014, then to daily from 05-Mar-2014;
- Tenerife Sur-Berlin Schoenefeld: Twice weekly service to launch on 01-Feb-2014;
- Tenerife Sur-Copenhagen: Three times weekly service to operate from 27-Oct-2013 until 27-Mar-2014;
- Tenerife Sur-Gothenburg Landvetter: Twice weekly service to operate from 27-Oct-2013 until 25-Mar-2014;
- Tenerife Sur-Hamburg: Frequency to increase from twice to three times weekly from 04-Feb-2014;
- Tenerife Sur-London Gatwick: Frequency to increase from four times weekly to daily between 31-Jan-2014 and 29-Mar-2014;
- Tenerife Sur-Oslo: Twice weekly service to operate from 22-Oct-2013 until 29-Mar-2014;
- Tenerife Sur-Stockholm Arlanda: Three times weekly service to operate from 27-Oct-2013 until 29-Mar-2014.
