Gran Canaria Airport is an international airport serving the Spanish city of Las Palmas on the island of Gran Canaria. The airport is the largest serving the Canary Islands, a major tourist destination off the south-west coast of Spain. Gran Canaria has gained popularity with low-cost carriers and charter airlines, with Ryanair, Air Berlin, TUIfly and Thomas Cook major operators at the airport. Gran Canaria is served by over 35 airlines from across Europe, and is one of Spain's largest airports, handling over 10 million passengers p/a.
