Iberia and Qatar Airways expand codeshare agreement to include Australia, Angola, South Africa

Iberia and Qatar Airways extended (21-Jan-2021) their codeshare agreement to include Qatar Airways' services to Angola, Australia, New Zealand, Mozambique, Qatar and South Africa. The agreement includes 36 routes operated by Qatar Airways to 19 countries: Angola, Armenia, Australia, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, Mozambique, New Zealand, Pakistan, Qatar, Seychelles, Singapore, Sri Lanka, South Africa, Tanzania and Vietnam. Qatar Airways customers can book to 40 destinations operated by Iberia. Iberia CEO Javier Sanchez-Prieto stated: "The expansion of the codeshare agreement… makes it easier for us to reach new markets in Africa and Australia, and improves the connectivity we offer between Spain and the rest of the world".
