UIA suspends scheduled services, works on return of citizens to Ukraine
Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) suspended (18-Mar-2020) scheduled operations across the entire network on 17-Mar-2020 to comply with the decree restricting crossing of the state border, aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus. Scheduled services will remain suspended until quarantine measures in Ukraine are lifted. UIA cancelled more than 2000 scheduled departures from 17-Mar-2020 to 03-Apr-2020 while operating 11 additional international services on 17-Mar-2020 for the return of citizens to Ukraine. The carrier is working with Ukraine's diplomatic missions internationally to organise inbound charters for the return of citizens.
