About
Established in 1992, Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) is the flagship carrier of Ukraine, connecting passengers to over 40 capitals and key cities of Western Europe, the CIS, Asia, and Middle East from its base at Kiev Boryspil Airport, as well as operating domestic flights within Ukraine. The carrier also operates domestic services within in the country. Ukraine International Airlines is owned by Cyprus-based company Ontobet Promotions Limited.
On 25-Feb-2022, Ukraine International Airlines suspended scheduled and charter services to and from Ukraine temporarily, due to the closure of Ukrainian airspace for civilian airspace users. UIA further extended its suspension of scheduled and charter air services and advised it will continue until martial law in Ukraine is lifted and Ukrainian airspace is reopened.
