London Heathrow Aug-2012 pax lower than expected, shortfall will not be recovered in remainder 2012

UK's London Heathrow Airport passenger numbers down 2% - traffic highlights for Aug-2012:

• Passenger numbers: 6459,100, -1.9%;

BAA reported (11-Sep-2012) the overall passenger traffic at London Heathrow in Jul-2012 and Aug-2012 has been lower than originally expected and the shortfall is not expected to be recovered later in the year. European scheduled traffic at London Heathrow declined across the board, with only Denmark and Norway reporting an increase (1.2% and 4.0% respectively). North Atlantic traffic continued to perform well, up 3.0%, while Brazil and China increased 9.5% and 4.1%. India was down 8.7%.
