LATAM Airlines reduces operations by 95% for Apr-2020
LATAM Airlines Group announced (02-Apr-2020) a further reduction in operations during Apr-2020. The carrier will operate 5% of its normal schedule in Apr-2020. Measures will be evaluated on an ongoing basis based on travel restrictions of different countries as well as demand. Passenger operations during April 2020 are as follows:
- Domestic:
- Brazil: LATAM Airlines Brazil will continue operating to 39 destinations with reduced frequencies, connecting its Sao Paulo (Guarulhos and Congonhas), Brasilia and Fortaleza hubs;
- Chile: LATAM Airlines Chile will maintain reduced frequencies to 13 of its 16 destinations, temporarily suspending services to Rapa Nui, Castro and Osorno;
- The operations of LATAM's affiliates in Peru, Argentina, Colombia and Ecuador remain suspended due to national government restrictions;
- International:
- LATAM Airlines Chile and LATAM Airlines Brazil will operate limited frequencies on Santiago-Sao Paulo, Santiago-Miami, Santiago-Los Angeles, Sao Paulo-Miami and Sao Paulo-New York services. [more - original PR]
