LAN Express, operating as LATAM Airlines Chile, is based in Santiago, Chile. A subsidiary of LATAM Airlines Group, LATAM Airlines Chile operates services throughout North and South America, Europe and Australasia from its primary hub at Santiago’s Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport. LATAM Airlines, through its subsidiary carriers also operate from secondary hubs including Columbia’s El Dorado International, Peru’s Jorge Chávez International Airport and José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport, in Ecuador. In Jun-2012, the carrier became part of the LATAM Airlines Group SA, a merger between the TAM Airlines Group and LAN’s own group company. LATAM Airlines Chile is a member of the oneworld alliance.
On 26-May-2020, LATAM Airlines Group announced a reorganisation plan which includes filing for Chapter 11. LATAM Airlines Chile also filed for Chapter 11. On 11-Jun-2022, LATAM Airlines Group secured exit financing as part of its Chapter 11 restructuring process. LATAM Airlines Group secured approval from the US Bankruptcy Court for its Chapter 11 reorganisation proceeding on 18-Jun-2022. On 03-Nov-2022, LATAM Airlines Group announced the completion of its restructuring process.
