IAG interested in bmi acquisition

IAG CEO Willie Walsh stated, outside the IATA AGM, the carrier is interested in acquire bmi if Lufthansa decides to sell its ownership position in the carrier (Reuters, 06-Jun-2011). IAG has renewed its interest in the UK carrier because of its slots at London Heathrow International Airport. "I have said we are interested; it is really a decision for Lufthansa," Mr Walsh said.
