bmi regional was a British regional airline headquartered in Leicestershire, UK. bmi regional was previously part of British Midland International (BMI) prior to being acquired Lufthansa by International Airlines Group (IAG) in Apr-2012. The carrier was then sold to Sector Aviation Holdings in May-2012 and operated independently from Oct-2012. bmi regional operated services throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe from its operating bases at Aberdeen, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Manchester. flybmi ceased operations and filed for administration on 16-Feb-2019 citing financial difficulties.
The carrier operated with an all-jet fleet comprising of Embraer 135 and 145 aircraft.
