Hawai'i District Court issues temporary restraining order on second Trump Administration travel ban
US District Court for the District of Hawai'i issued (15-Mar-2017) an order granting a motion for a temporary restraining order against the Trump Administration's second Executive Order temporarily restricting entry to the US from certain states in the Middle East and suspending the refugee programme. According to the Court, the plaintiffs established that: "irreparable injury is likely if the requested relief is not issued, and that the balance of the equities and public interest counsel in favour of granting the requested relief". The second executive order was due to come into force on 16-Mar-2017, affecting nationals from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.
