AirAsia reportedly close to agreement with Airbus: reports

AirAsia is reportedly close to signing an agreement with Airbus for up to 100 A320 aircraft, according to reports by Business Times Singapore and Air Journal. The agreement would potentially be worth USD9 billion. The airline recently said it needs more A320 aircraft to support expansion in Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia and Japan. AirAsia currently operates 116 aircraft and has 375 further Airbus aircraft on order.
