AENA announces highest bids for there-lot auction to operate duty-free shops at 26 airports
Spain's AENA announced (10-Dec-2012) the highest offers received in its three-lot auction to operate 80 duty-free shops at 26 airports in its network:
- World Duty Free Group submitted the highest offer (EUR753.1 million) for Lot 1, consisting of 38 duty free shops at 11 airports: La Coruna Airport, Almeria Airport, Asturias Airport, Bilbao Airport, Granada-Jaen Airport, Jerez Airport, Madrid Barajas Airport, Malaga Costa del Sol Airport, Santander Airport, Santiago de Compostela Airport and Seville Airport.
- World Duty Free Group submitted the highest offer (EUR887.6 million) for Lot 2, consisting of 29 shops at nine airports: Alicante Airport, Barcelona El Prat Airport, Girona Costa Brava Airport, Ibiza Airport, Menorca Airport, Murcia San Javier Airport, Palma de Mallorca Airport, Reus Airport and Valencia Airport
- Sociedad de Distribución Comercial Aeroportuaria de Canarias, S.L. (Canariensis) submitted the highest offer (EUR323.5 million) for Lot 3, consisting of 13 shops at six Canary Island Airports: Fuerteventura Airport, Gran Canaria Airport, La Palma Airport, Lanzarote Airport, Tenerife Norte Airport and Tenerife Sur Airport
