Santiago Cibao International Airport
Cibao International Airport serves the Dominican Republic's second city of Santiago de los Caballeros and is the third busiest airport in the country, after Santo Domingo Las Americas International Airport and Punta Cana International Airport. The airport primarily handles international services, with US connections provided by American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, JetBlue Airways, and Spirit Airways. Domestic services are provided by Aerolineas Mas, who have their hub at the facility, and by charter operator Air Century. The airport also features connections with Panama, Haiti and the Turks and Caicos Islands. Cibao was the hub of defunct Aeromar and defunct VolAir, with JetBlue currently having the largest operation. The facility is operated by the Cibao Airport Corporation.
The airport was last renovated in 2006, when the terminal building was renovated and expanded. Runway expansion is slated for the future though concrete plans have yet to be announced.
