Tigerair Australia confirms plans for launch of international operations in Mar-2016
Tigerair Australia confirmed (07-Aug-2015) plans to commence international operations in Mar-2016 on the following services to Denpasar - see Route Changes Table for more information:
- Adelaide-Denpasar: Tigerair Australia to replace Virgin Australia on the route, with five weekly services from 23-Mar-2016. Jetstar Airways also operates on the route;
- Melbourne-Denpasar: Tigerair Australia to replace Virgin Australia on the route, with daily service from 23-Mar-2016. Garuda Indonesia, Indonesia AirAsia X and Jetstar Airways also operate on the route;
- Perth-Denpasar: Tigerair Australia to replace Virgin Australia on the route, with daily service from 23-Mar-2016. Garuda Indonesia, Indonesia AirAsia X and Jetstar Airways also operate on the route.
Tigerair Australia will operate each of the above routes using three Boeing 737-800 aircraft from the Virgin Australia Group, with the aircraft to be reconfigured in an all-economy 180-seat layout and rebranded in Tigerair Australia's livery. Tigerair Australia CEO Rob Sharp said: "Today is a major milestone for Tigerair Australia, as we are thrilled to be spreading our wings and bringing lower airfares to more Australians.
