Scoot and Tigerair to merge by 25-Jul-2017, becoming Scoot Tigerair

Budget Aviation Holdings outlined (09-May-2017) the timeline for the merging of Scoot and Tigerair. By 25-Jul-2017, Tigerair will be renamed Scoot Tigerair and cutover to a single AOC. All services will use Tigerair's TR flight code. The sales cutover date is to be confirmed, subject to regulatory requirements and system readiness. Scoot Tigerair will operate 23 A320s, eight Boeing 787-8s and six 787-9s as of 25-Jul-2017. Scoot Tigerair will be a wholly owned subsidiary of Tiger Airways Holdings, which is wholly owned by Budget Aviation Holdings, which is 100% owned by Singapore Airlines.
