Singapore Airlines Group
Originally established on 01-May-1947 (as Malayan Airways) Singapore Airlines, the flagship airline of the Singapore Airlines Group, is the parent company to a number of full-service and low-cost airlines as well as other aviation-related businesses worldwide. The group is headquartered on the grounds of Changi International Airport and is listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX: C6L). The Singaporean Government's investment arm, Temasek Holdings hold majority ownership (54.5%) of the group.
Singapore Airlines Group wholly-owned and majority-owned airline subsidiaries include:
- Silk Air (100%, since 1989)
- Singapore Airlines Cargo (100%, since 2001)
- Budget Aviation Holdings (100%)
- Tiger Airways Holdings, trading as Scoot as of 25-Jul-2017 following Tigerair and Scoot merger (100%, since Mar-2016)
Minority airline subsidiaries include:
- Vistara (49% since 2013)
- Tigerair Taiwan (10%, following Tiger Airways Holding acquisition in Mar-2016)
