Russian carriers see 11% increase in pax in 2018
Russia's Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) reported (15-Jan-2019) the following traffic highlights for Russian carriers, according to operational data:
- 12 months ended Dec-2018:
- Passenger numbers: 116.1 million, +10.5% year-on-year;
- Passenger traffic (RPKs): 286.3 billion, +10.4%;
- Load factor: 83.7%, +0.5%;
- Passenger numbers for individual carriers:
- Aeroflot: 35.8 million, +8.9%;
- S7 Airlines: 11.6 million, +16.9%;
- Rossiya - Russian Airlines: 11.1 million;
- Ural Airlines: 8.9 million, +12.5%;
- UTair Aviation: 7.6 million, +4.8%;
- Dec-2018:
- Passenger numbers: 8.3 million, +9.8%;
- Passenger traffic (RPKs): 20.8 billion, +7.7%;
- Passenger numbers for individual carriers:
- Aeroflot: 2.9 million, +13.5%;
- S7 Airlines: 842,200, +10.6%;
