Prague Airport reports double-digit traffic decline in May-2012, LCCs report 1% growth

Czech Republic's Prague Ruzyne Airport reported (30-Jun-2012) a 13.7% year-on-year decline in passenger numbers to 931,666 and a 12.6% decline in aircraft movements to 11,843 in May-2012. Full service carriers at the airport reported a 17.8% decline in passenger numbers while LCCs reported a 0.7% increase. The three most popular international markets from the airport were the UK, France and Germany while the UAE was the market with the highest growth in passenger numbers at +23.2%, followed by Sweden (+9.2%) and the UK (+7.0%). The top destinations were Paris Charles de Gaulle, Frankfurt and Moscow Sheremetyevo.
