Passenger traffic up 6.1% in Apr-2012, cargo traffic down 4.2%: IATA

IATA reports (30-May-2012) the following traffic growth in Apr-2012:

  • Passenger traffic (RPKs): +6.1% year-on-year;
  • Passenger load factor: 79.3%;
    • International passenger load factor: 79.1%;
    • Domestic passenger load factor: 79.7%;
      • Australia: 79.1%;
      • Brazil: 70.2%;
      • China: 82.2%;
      • India: 75.3%;
      • Japan: 57%;
      • US: 83.6%;
  • Cargo traffic (FTKs): -4.2%;
    • International cargo traffic (FTKs): -4.5%;
      • Africa: +6.9%;
      • Asia Pacific: -8.0%;
      • Europe: -5.2%;
      • Latin America: -1.8%;
      • Middle East: +14.6%;
      • North America: -8.2%;
