OAMC recieves bids from four companies for construction of Muscat International Airport

Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC) reportedly received bids from four companies for the construction of a new terminal at Muscat International Airport (Reuters, 18-Nov-2009). Bidders reportedly include India's Larsen & Toubro and Oman's Galfar Engineering consortium, Cyprus' Joannou & Paraskevaides, USA's Bechtel, and Turkey's TAV Construction and Greece's Consolidated Contractors Co (CCO) consortium, which was awarded a civil works package in May-2009. France's Vinci and the Saudi Binladen Group reportedly withdrew from the tender.
