Lufthansa Technik completes cabin installation of first Lufthansa A350-900

EASA granted (02-Feb-2017) a supplemental type certificate to Lufthansa Technik for required cabin installations on A350-900 equipment. The first aircraft is now technically cleared to enter scheduled service. As previously reported by CAPA, Lufthansa plans to station the 293 seat aircraft at Munich Airport as of Feb-2017. Engineers will relocate their offices from Frankfurt to Munich when A350 operations begin, and employees from Airbus, Rolls-Royce and Panasonic will be on hand to provide support during the first few weeks of operations.
