Lufthansa introduces new Allegris first class
Lufthansa Group announced (19-Mar-2025) its Allegris first class premium experience is available for booking on flights from Munich to San Francisco, Chicago, San Diego, Shanghai and Bengaluru from 30-Mar-2025. The redesigned first class offers two individual suites and the 'Suite Plus' double cabin that transforms into a double bed. Each suite features ceiling high walls, lockable doors, a table, a personal wardrobe, individual lighting and a 43 inch screen with wireless headphones. Since Feb-2025, nine A350-900s with the new cabin interior have been operating for Lufthansa, eight of them with the new first class. To date, nearly half a million passengers across all classes have travelled in the new cabin. In 2025, the retrofitting of the existing fleet with Lufthansa Allegris will commence, beginning with the Boeing 747-8. Additionally, Lufthansa is enhancing long haul service across all classes, rolling out Allegris economy, premium economy and business class on services to New York Newark from mid Apr-2025 and Charlotte in Aug-2025. As part of the 'Future Onboard Experience' project, Lufthansa is revamping onboard services in all long haul cabins, including an upgraded culinary offering, tableware, pillows, blankets, amenity kits and overall inflight service. A new catering concept for business class on short and medium haul services was introduced in Feb-2025. The carrier is also investing in ground services, with newly renovated first class check-in areas in Munich and Frankfurt, a redesigned first class lounge in Munich, and a baggage collection and check-in service at Frankfurt. A major lounge renovation is underway, with New York Newark and London Heathrow already completed and 30 more lounges set for upgrades in 2025. [more - original PR]
