Jet Airways loss narrows in 1QFY2015

Jet Airways revenue up 17% - financial highlights for three months ended 30-Jun-2014:

  • Total revenue: INR47,407 million (USD793.6 million), +16.6% year-on-year;
  • Total costs: INR50,156 million (USD839.6 million), +15.3%;
    • Fuel: INR18,048 million (USD302.1 million), +16.9%;
    • Labour: INR5100 million (USD85.4 million), +13.6%;
  • Profit (loss) before tax: (INR2177 million) (USD36.4 million), compared to a loss of INR3554 million (USD59.5 million) in p-c-p;
  • Passenger numbers: 4.5 million, +8.6%;
  • Passenger load factor: 80.4%, +2.0 ppts;
  • Breakeven seat factor: 86.7%, +1.5 ppt;
  • Passenger yield: INR4.69 (USD 7.9 cents), +1.9%;
  • Revenue per ASK: INR3.77 (USD 6.3 cents), +4.6%;
