Japan to allocate 14 additional weekly flights to China from Tokyo Narita
Japan's Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism plans to allocate 14 additional weekly slot pairs to China, out of a total of 96 allocated to foreign carriers at Tokyo Narita International Airport following the opening of the airport's extended runway (Kyodo, 23-Feb-2010). The Ministry, which is targeting to increase the number of visitors from China to 25 million p/a by 2019, is expected to hold talks with counterparts in China in the Northern Summer. The Ministry has granted ten additional weekly slot pairs to Vietnam, India and the UAE, seven to Qatar and Germany, five to the Netherlands and four to Egypt and Italy.
