Iran stops full supply of fuel for bmi

British Midlands International (bmi) stated Iranian authorities have stopped fully refuelling their aircraft, forcing the carrier to make a fuel stop in a third country, in retaliation for an agreement between US and European oil companies including Total, Statoil and Royal Dutch Shell to prevent Iran Air from refuelling in most European countries (Cleveland.com, 25-Oct-2010). bmi operates daily services between London and Tehran. Iranian Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi confirmed the retaliatory measures.
