International passenger traffic up 5.5% in Jan-2012: IATA

IATA reports (29-Feb-2012) the following traffic growth in Jan-2012:

  • Passenger traffic (RPKs): +5.7% year-on-year;
  • Passenger load factor: 76.6%;
    • International passenger load factor: 76.6%;
    • Domestic passenger load factor: 76.6%;
      • Australia: 77%;
      • Brazil: 74.9%;
      • China: 80.8%;
      • India: 74.9%;
      • Japan: 56.4%;
      • US: 78.1%;
  • Cargo traffic (FTKs): -8.0%;
    • International cargo traffic (FTKs): -8.1%;
      • Africa: -3.7%;
      • Asia Pacific: -14.0%;
      • Europe: -9.6%;
      • Latin America: +2.2%;
      • Middle East: +9.4%;
      • North America: -4.0%;
