India carriers to operate up to 11,541 weekly departures in summer 2013

India's Ministry of Civil Aviation stated (02-Apr-2013) as many as 11,541 departures per week have been approved covering 76 stations for the summer schedule 2013, effective 31-Mar-2013. This is down from around from around 13,000 departures in the summer 2012 schedule. The airline-wise break-up of departures is as follows:

The details of international operations of Indian Carriers approved in summer Schedule 2013 are as follows:

  • Air India: 710 weekly departures to 27 foreign destinations. Does not include hub and spoke and hopping flights at domestic destinations;
  • Jet Airways: 708 weekly departures to 20 international destinations;
  • Air India Express: 346 weekly departures to 12 destinations. Does not include hub and spoke and hopping flights at domestic destinations;
  • IndiGo: 190 weekly departures to five destinations;
  • SpiceJet: 162 weekly departures to eight destinations;
