JetLite is an airine based at Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, India. Formerly known as Air Sahara, the airline was taken over by Jet Airways in 2007 and subsequently rebranded as JetLite, an all-economy, low-cost carrier. The carrier previously operated in tandem with fellow Jet LCC brand, JetKonnect. In Aug-2014, Jet Airways chairman Naresh Goyal announced that the two low-cost brands would be phased out by end-2014 as part of Jet Airways' plans to reposition itself as an entirely full-service airline. Jetlite now operates under the Jet Airways brand but will continue to operate under its own 'S2' code until the two are fully integrated. The carrier currently operates an extensive network of Indian domestic services with a fleet of Boeing 737NG aircraft.
JetLite merged into parent company Jet Airways on 02-Sep-2015. Consequent to the merger, Jet Lite will become a division of Jet Airways and operate under a separate AOC.
