Changi Airport Group: Asia Pacific growth supporting network expansion at Singapore Changi Airport

Changi Airport Group MD Lim Ching Kiat, speaking at the CAPA Asia Aviation Summit, said (15-Nov-2016) Asia Pacific is now the largest aviation market in the world and will be the fastest growing for the next 20 years. Mr Lim said growth is fuelled by population growth, increased business travel and the region's rising middle class. Mr Lim noted Singapore Changi Airport's expanded network in China, India and Indonesia and said growth in Asia will create opportunities for new long-haul links, highlighting new and upcoming routes to the US, Europe and Africa. Mr Lim also noted the airport's ongoing development projects, including terminal four, which is expected to be complete in 2017, increasing capacity to 85 million passengers p/a.
