Canada introduced the Liquidity for Airline Sector Resilience (LASR) facility on 08-Jun-2026, offering eligible Canadian airlines repayable liquidity support of up to CAD150 million to address financial pressures from elevated jet fuel costs, alongside the earlier fuel excise tax removal from 20-Apr-2026 to 07-Sep-2026.1 Air Transat's CFO Jean-François Pruneau said it intended to apply for LASR.2 Transat AT later signed a LASR financing agreement for up to CAD150 million, with an initial CAD125 million draw.3
