BinterCanarias places order for additional six ATR 72-600s

Binter Canarias placed (12-Oct-2016) an order for six additional ATR 72-600s, increasing the carrier's total order for the aircraft to 18. The order will contribute to the fleet renewal process, commenced two years ago with the purchase of the first six ATR 72-600. Binter's fleet already has four ATR 72-600s, and the carrier is working towards replacing the remaining 14 ATR 72-500s. As previously reported by CAPA, Binter is launching a new carrier in Cape Verde, and will utilise the replaced ATR 72-500 from Binter Canarias to form Binter CV's fleet. [more - original PR]
