BAA airport report 2.6% fall in Sep-2009 pax

UK's BAA reports (09-Oct-2009) the following traffic highlights in Sep-2009;

• Passenger numbers: 13.0 million, -2.6% year-on-year;
  • London Heathrow: 5.8 million, -0.3%;
  • London Gatwick: 3.3 million, -0.5%;
  • London Stansted: 1.9 million, -11.6%;
• Cargo volume: 135,223 tonnes, -6.3%;
  • Heathrow: 110,244 tonnes, -6.2%;
  • Gatwick: 5,959 tonnes, -21.7%;
  • Stansted: 16,253, -8.4%;
• Aircraft movements: 104,231, -6.1%;
  • Heathrow: 37,869, -5.0%;
  • Gatwick: 23,563, -0.4%;
  • Stansted: 14,376, -10.5%. [more]

BAA: "Conditions remain challenging for the industry. Heathrow continues to perform well in its market, delivering strong long-haul performance on routes to India and the Middle East.
