Association of European Airlines pax numbers up 3% in May-2014, cargo traffic up 4%

Association of European Airlines (AEA) reports (10-Jul-2014) the following traffic highlights for its member airlines in May-2014:

  • Passenger numbers: 32.5 million, +3.1% year-on-year;
    • International short/medium haul: 18.2 million, +2.0%;
    • Total long-haul: 6.5 million, +6.7%;
  • Passenger traffic (RPKs): +5.4%;
  • Capacity (ASKs): +4.7%;
  • Load factor: 79.6%, +0.5 ppt;
