American Airlines product has improved, ‘we’re doing things other US airlines are not doing’

American Airlines CEO Doug Parker, speaking at the CAPA Aviation Summit 2016, stated (12-Apr-2016) the carrier is working on a number of projects which are "more innovative" but less visible. He said the carrier has a lot of things underway and "we're not just waiting till we catch everyone else". He said it was shocking to visit partners at Qantas and British Airways after he took over his position, where "they told me our product was not up to their standards." Mr Parker said that has now changed, and American's product has improved: "We're getting there, we're doing things other US airlines are not doing."
